I was struck by how robust this jutting rock appeared, pointing out to the ocean.
Of course it's all an illusion. It will eventually crumble into silt. It's the far end of The Island Archway (glimpsed in image 19502) whose archway at the other end, estimated by some to have been a good 10 metres wide, has already crumbled to the ocean. But for now, it looks every bit like the eternal sentinel.
