For over a century this rotunda has seen the sun rise and set in Fitzroy Gardens. The people who built it, and those who originally enjoyed it, have probably long since come and gone... but it remains, having witnessed the creation of the nation, two world wars, the invention of powered flight...

In this case, the sun is coming up just behind it through the trees and providing a starburst of light in the branches.
