Jude, thank you for your kind comment. I found these birds in a disused deer blind on a ranch in deep South Texas yesterday. I had to hold the camera over my head and hope for the best. Needless to say, I took several shots. I fully expected the owls to come flying out at any time.

What a curiously wonderful photo - It's almost surreal! Great catch!

Thanks Dawn. They were in a disused deer blind. when I opened the door I was suprised that they did not fly out. They swayed back and forth and would stay still for a bit then begin swaying again. Very interesting birds.

Thank you Kate. They were in an unused deer blind and they would sway back and forth and then duck down behind the boards that you see. I quite expected them to fly out the door in my face.

Wonderful find! Great angle getting the eye's peeping thru the door way.

I love this, but then I am partial to barn owls. They really are peeking at you. Great shot!
