9th February

HMS Diamond made her first visit to Loch Striven today,
Diamond is 1 of the 6 new Type 45 destroyers that were built just further up river
but is only the 2nd of them to visit Loch Striven, (the first being HMS Daring in 2008)

as well as Diamond and Daring the others are Dauntless, Dragon, Defender and Duncan.

Awww, happy memories of when I achieved my ambition, seeing Daring on her sea trials when I was visiting Zak. The annoying thing was that even though we were standing together, he still got the best photos.

A picture of the lesser spotted 45 destroyer. Getting much harder to spot naval vessels in their natural surrounds. More in captivity now adays being called museums.

I misread that and thought for a moment you had put HMS Darling lol
Agree with JJ - grey vessel and grey weather!

She's a lovely design for sure.

Wonder if Cameron is putting that one on Ebay.
