Stansbury, Wool Bay, Marion Bay etc.
We've stayed in Stansbury and done some touring further south & across the peninsula...
Ardrossan Silos, Open Cut Mine & the Sea
We drove up to a scenic vantage point to take a few photos of one of the silos on Yorkes
Peninsula, South Australia. The silo holds wheat, malting barley & other cereals and ships out
via a pier alongside. The open cut mine is for dolomite.

Hardwicke Bay - South Australia.
A lovely secluded beach - off the beaten track. We stayed in a shack that fronted the
waterfront with superb views across the sea. A very popular recreational fishing spot, and
ideal for families with small children, as the beach had a lot to offer; e.g., rock pools, sand
and plenty of sea-weed & birdlife.

The Peninsula
Port Vincent - a tiny coastal town on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia
Quiet holiday and retirement town on the Yorke Peninsula.
Port Vincent is more upmarket than most of the holiday towns on the west coast of Gulf St Vincent
as it is both a holiday and a retirement destination. It has a genuinely delightful beach and there is a
feeling of elegance and permanence which is not typical of many of South Australia's wonderfully temporary
and casual coastal towns. There is really only one reason for visiting Port Vincent: relaxation.
