Yellow daisies..
This one has the name Osteospermum "Elite Lemonade" and I've planted it in a patch
under the feet of an Austin rose called "Graham Thomas" a well known name in the
rose breeding industry - a yellow rose.

Paper Daisies
Or Strawflowers - Bracteantha. A very long flowering season. A low growing plant suited
to the border or for growing in pots.

A new addition
This one has a name "Blushing Beauty"

Three pink daisies
I rather like how the daisies blend in to each other in the garden... the deeper pink
is a relatively new addition and I haven't taken any cuttings of it yet.
Probably the last of the daisy photos for this season. They will continue flowering
for months yet, but I do have other flowers to photograph.

Deep Garnet Red
This one spreads and keeps low to the ground.. we have it growing in a few spots around the garden.

Pink and pretty
One of the newer style of daisies that seem to be doing rather well in my garden.

Carpet of Daisies
These have colonised well under a Silky Oak tree (Grevillea robusta) and this
is the time of the year they suddenly burst forth... and will thicken up even
more as more buds open up. I am experimenting taking this photo with the
larger lens, I did take a photo yesterday with the 100mm but lost a lot of
the background. We have several patches of these daisies.. those taken
yesterday are in another part of the garden, not far away from this carpet.
One sees these as they drive through our front gate.

Early spring daisies
They are flowering their heads off right now - a lovely sunny day in the high teens.
There are so many colours, and some are hybridising in the garden.

Erigeron - a year round display.
We have them self seeding in pots, the garden, hanging baskets etc., you name it
and it will grow anywhere. I use it like a mulch to keep roots of other plants
cool in our summers. This photo goes back a couple of years, but it could have
been taken today, there's no change in how it looks from one year to the next.

Daisies & Iris
This South African silver-leafed Euryops grows to around 1.2m tall. It has large bright yellow daisy flowers in late autumn and winter;
with regular dead-heading, it will bloom into late spring when I took this photo. It can be pruned quite hard after flowering, but eventually it will need to be replaced when it becomes worn out and straggly.
They are very easy to propagate from cuttings. Behind the daisies is a clump of iris that I picked up at an open garden sale quite a few years ago.
Lucky for me both flowered at the same time giving this scene in the garden. I believe these can become a weed in some parts of the world.

Deep russet red daisies
Unusual colouring adds spice to the collection... this one has quite a
spread and stays low to the ground so far.
One of the few times my Tamron worked.

A mixture
These are so easy to grow and enjoy!

Apricot tones
This one seems to be more sensitive than the pinks and whites, but we
have managed to grow a few of them amongst the other colours, and
I rather like how they blend in, as you'll see when I add a photo
later with a combination that includes this particular colouring.
I'm still having problem with this camera and lens, but will persevere.

Pink Osteospermum
These shrubby perennials are native to South Africa where they are known as Veldt daisies.
We have several growing in different shades of pink, white, magenta, orange and gold.
Osteospermums are readily increased by cuttings, and I have propagated several
making good use of new additions to the garden.
