Clematis montana sericea syn. C. spooneri in the morning sunshine

Only in its second year in the garden it's shaping up to be a great addition to the garden. We have it there to lace the climbing rose to the latticework on an archway and it does its job well.

Viticella "Polish Spirit"

This little clematis has bloomed in 36-C heat for the last couple of days

and barely shows signs today now the weather has cooled.

Clematis - my favourite plants, I only have a tiny garden, but grow 15 clematis up the trellis. Your pictures were some of the first I looked at when I discovered Pbase but I think I would need another lifetime to be as good a photographer as you.
