Northwest Texas White Christmas 2009

All told the Christmas Eve snow measured 5.25 inches. The drive from Central Texas to Haskell usually takes 4.5 hours. However, this particular adventure required closer to 7 hours.

The 50 mile leg of the drive from Abilene to Haskell took 2 hours in a blinding blizzard, by Texas standards, with 40 mph winds and blowing snow. After lunch and a power nap the sun was shinning and photography was in order!!

Beautiful gallery. We lived in Texas a few times during a military career but that was San Antonio and El Paso. We didn't get a lot of the white stuff in either place. It looks like you had a great Christmas. Thanks for sharing. Voted
