As a son of a ex-NATO pilot I loved your gallery. I know he would have appreciated dearly if only he could open his eyes to see and understand things again from his hospital bed.

Thanks for the comments. No, never stationed in the Ukraine. The aerial photos were taken with the D70 with the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR lens, many with the TC-14EII teleconverter. The wider angle ground/static shots were with the Nikkor 18-70 f3.5 "kit" lens or the Olympus 5060 WZ. Thanks for looking.

Excellent work here! I've been using a 300mm on a film body for over 10 years, always need a bit more "pull". Hopefully going with a digital D200 this year will do it for me!

All the aerial shots were taken with the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR lens, some with the TC-14EII teleconverter. The camera was a D70. Some of the wider angle ground static images were taken with the 18-70 kit lens that comes with the D70. The first photo of Shockwave was taken by the Olympus 5060 WZ point 'n shoot.
