Ice Skating Near The Gallery of Modern Art
Sunday afternoon brought out a lot of people to the skating rink. I got a kick out of watching the really young ones catching on quickly, and the skaters that were a little older holding on for dear life.

First Lady At The Ice Skating Rink In DC
..... well, my first lady anyway and I think that she's more photogenic than Laura. I'd say that even if she wasn't beating me up at the moment. Fourth day with me in DC and she was still smiling! What's up with that?

Great Singer
Sunday around noon. Connecticut Ave and a Farmer's Market is in full swing with produce brought in fresh from VA, PA, and MD. On one end of the block is a wonderful violinist playing her heart out, and on the other end of the block is this absolutely awesome musician who is bareing his soul with some Marley tunes. Great way to take a stroll.

Dupont Circle Navy Fountain - Sunny Day
During the winter, the rountain is drained and does not run. This is a beautiful work of art and I have not done it justice, as I have not included the very large top bowl in this photo. This I believe was put up as a Memorial to the U.S. Navy. I could never make out the entire inscription because every time I was in the area the base served as a seat for the many, as seen here. This was taken on one of the last days of winter, and people were enjoying the sun. This will also go in the "DC Places" album.
