I've been anxiously watching the progress of the devastating fires in Southern California all day. So far, we have been most fortunate,
and the thin smoke you see here is the worst we've seen all day where we live. Breathing the air is another matter, though,
and we've been cooped up in the house almost all day. Well, much of San Diego has been far less fortunate, since about
250,000 people have been evacuated so far, and numerous houses have burned already. It sure is scary here.
