We have never been affected directly by the fires, since we were inbetween the two major fires.
We have had mostly blue skies all the time. However, we've been able to smell the smoke,
and somehow enough ash appears to have made it onto our patio. I think what happened is
that the winds have been quite calm where we are, so the ash just fell down.
