Built between 1398 and 1515, the Heiliggeistkirche (Church of the Holy Spirit) is a prime example of Late Gothic sacred architecture built using local red Neckar Valley sandstone. Following extensive fire damage in 1693, the original Gothic tower was rebuilt in 1709 with a prominent Baroque octagonal spire, creating the current mixed-style skyline.
