Located on the upper floor of the main building, this grand state room served as the formal reception space where Prince-Elector Clemens August (his portrait in the middle) officially received foreign dignitaries, ambassadors, and high-ranking guests. Between 1949 and 1996 (West Germany era), the Audience Hall was used to host state dinners and formal welcomes for many international guests, including Queen Elizabeth II, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Nelson Mandela.
