This sculpture entitled "Marathon" by artist Henk Visch was a gift from the Rotterdam Marathon Foundation to the city of Rotterdam in April 2001, just before the twenties running of Rotterdam Marathon. The artist applied 20 colors to this sculpture which is located at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge. The names of all previous winners, male and females, appear on the pedestal.
