Built by the Renaissance architect Giovanni Antonio Amadeo, Cappella Colleoni (Colleoni Chapel) (center) features a dazzling multi-colored marble exterior. It was commissioned by Bartolomeo Colleoni, a powerful mercenary captain, as his personal mausoleum. On the right is the Giovanni da Campione's porch which provide access to the left transept of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.
