Built in 1368, Fontana di Madonna Verona stands in the center of Piazza delle Erbe, the oldest square in Verona. The marble figure, Madonna Verona, dates back to 1st century AD. The tower in the background is Torre del Gardello which was built around 1370 by the ruling Scaliger family.
