A couple of times working in our AO out of Evans we had the privelege of tracker teams staying with us(58th IPSD) as guests. Think of that assignment to reestablish contact and I think of brass balls and steel jaws. We tried to prevent or warn patrols but these guys wanted to join the folks in gray or black pajamas and sing a little lead love song to them . I remember a guy named Ski who got shot up and medevaced and was giving the thumbs up to his team as he skied up . Those were specialized trackers and handlers and had a lot of poise and pride. Good guys.

with the 63rd IPCT out of Chu Lai,in 1970-1971. I did have a photo on the website; but it has been removed. Any reason why? My war dogs name was Brandy and she was number 7k17 to the U S Army. She was a Mine Dog and we were a team, to the end. She was killed in Danang;sometime after I wasd hit in Febuary of 71. She died with Honor, as they ALL did. They will; never be forgotten...I really miss her and think of her most the time. I have a war dog memorial in my yard, for people to see. If only they knew how brave these dogs really were,gee...some people didn't even know they exsisted. Well, any way I'd sure like the photo of her put back on the website and yes there was a unit size platoon named 63rd IPCT out of Chu Lai,Viet Nam. Thanks ,and lets never forget our fallen four legged brothers.....Monty Slough,Sgt.US ARMY / RETIRED
