Italian Love Affair

I reached the Alps: the soul within me burned, Italia, my Italia, at thy name:
And when from out the mountain's heart I came, And saw the land for which my life had yearned,
I laughed as one who some great prize had earned: And musing on the marvel of thy fame
I watched the day, till marked with wounds of flame. The turquoise sky to burnished gold was turned.
The pine-trees waved as waves a woman's hair, And in the orchards every twining spray
Was breaking into flakes of blossoming foam: But when I knew that far away at Rome
In evil bonds a second Peter lay, I wept to see the land so very fair.

..from this little house....	..high above a seaside town..	...through narrow streets...
...the air, warm and fragrant..	..vistas that stop you in your tracks..	..even the most mundane becomes art..
..people going about...	..their everyday...	..some talk to friends..
..some talk to God....	..some know ...	..much more than others...
..there is not a car..	..nor yacht in sight..	..fishmen dominate the shore..
..ensuring a successful catch..	..while some laze the day away..	..others rest weary feet...
..some rest tired bones..	..even the night	..a glorious visual indulgence..
..will forever	..steal my heart..	Cin cin!

Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, that place is a real perl in this country. I think that, together with the cost amalfitana which is similar, this place is one of the most beautyfull ones in Italy. Have been there quite often with my bike and went there first in 1975. Nice pictures that show the caracter of this place quite well. Thans for sharing this.
