I don't normally do people shots.... this is my best friend's little girl... she'll be 4 in Feb. My friend wanted some snapshots taken digitally, so she can take them to work and put them on her pc. She, of course, wanted to dress the kids up real nice and pretty... I, on the other hand, grabbed my uzi and said "Ok, let's do it!"
Processing.... I had to take the red out -- she looked like a demon-child/spawn of damian, for some reason. Might have played with lighting somewhat, but not much, I'm sure. Otherwise, just resizing. She's an adorable little girl (and she knows it, believe me). Hey, she posed herself - I didn't ask her to do anything, she just did it.

I'm blushing as I read these comments, from all of y'all whom I consider to be MUCH better photographers than I am. *thanks*
I'd say it's a tribute to all I've absorbed since I started reading the group last September. :-)

Great job. remember that the subject has to be comfortable with the photographer to pose so that is a compliment to you as a photographer.

Doug, for some reason I *always* give the camera credit, rather than the photograhper. Maybe because in my old SLR days, I rarely had as many good shots as I do with the Uzi. This one blows me away, though.... and she's almost as sweet as she looks. :-)

Beautiful natural shot.

Outstanding portrait photo. Isn't it fun to be able to produce such wonderful photos with our little cameras. I guess this photo shows that it is the photographer not the camera. Great work.
