17/11 THIS is a lens I don´t want... ;o)

I visited the Photo fair in Stockholm (Fotomässan) last Friday.
Sigma presented the big gun that weekend.
Sigmas monsterzoom APO 200-500/2,8 EX, weighing in on 15,7 kg´s and a nice price tag of SEK 200 000 + taxes.
That´s US$30 000, £ 18 000 (?) or so.
Customers to be? Military and paparazzis of course.
Yes, I did test it !

Awesome. I wouldn't want to have to carry that around. Obviously the camera mounts to the lens......not the lens to the camera. Great shot. Vote :)

It may look like a rocket launcher, but just think of 500mm at f2.8... cooollll... ;-) Military and paps maybe but I suspect a few wildlife photographers out there will also be drooling...
