Yes, it has been a while since I have posted.

On Friday I got my set of Alien Bees (studio lihgts)….YAHOO!!!!

I spent the afternoon today shooting with the lights and having a blast. I emailed a fellow PAD’er Elizabeth Glass and she called me on Saturday night to give me some pointers. The first thing I did this morning was go out and buy a light meter. Wow, what a difference that made. It is so cool to shoot in raw and then convert to the correct color balance and watch as the images color get corrected right there on the screen!

Today I did a bunch of still lifes for the Q&A photographic interview. See that gallery as well. I should have it completed by the end of the week.

Canon EOS 10D
1/160s f/5.6 at 50.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

They are the 800's two of them with stands, umbrella, brolly and the big dish. Elizabeth said to get the Sekonic L308 I think but I ended up getting the Polaris. It was $100 cheaper and since I just got the lights......

Congrats on the Bees. I'm a tad envious. Which set did you get?
Also, what light meter did Elizabeth talk you into?
