I have much to learn about lighting. This was done with a Photolight 3200K. I messed with it in BreezeBrowser but liked this on the best. In BB you can set the color temp of the light. Anyway, like I said I have much to learn on this subject. I hope to have some Alien Bees soon.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have a meter or PS yet. I kinda guess as I go along. They really should have put one in the 10d.

Very well done. I like this one so much better than what I came up with taking of CD's.

You did really well! These CD's appear almost see through. The gradients are what really make the image for me, the soft flow from lights to darks is lovely. -- angela :)

Excellent shot. And I think you managed to get the lighting spot on!

Nice job. Lighting is very hard to learn!! Practice is what I will be doing all weekend!

Hi Rob, the light I was using was 3200K, it says it bulb. In BB you can set the color temp so I did at 3200k. It was the first time that I had done that. I then over exposed by 1/2 stop. The CD's are sitting on white cardboard poster paper. Like I said I have much to learn about lighting and setting WB or messing with the image in PS.

Any comments on how I can improve would be welcome.

I like the duotone effect. What temp did you select for the lighting?

Yup, it had to be CD's - though my first reaction was a 'slinky'..

No Jill, you were right, CD's.

ummmm...interesting..at first I thought CD's? But then again perhaps some kind of tool?

Love the saturation.
