Where are the answers to these questions?

I live in Eagan, MN and I just found many of these Milkweed Tussock caterpillars on my milkweeds with one plant already skeletonized. I've never seen these before. Do I need to be concerned? Thanks.

We have a milkweed/butterfly garden at our elementary school. The children study the monarch butterfly life cycle in Sept. But we now, in July, have hundreds of tussock caterpillars stripping the leaves from the milkweed. I wonder if they will devour it all. Is there any way to control them? Help!

I purchased milkweed plants this year to entice Monarch butterflies and noticed today that there were lots of these tussock moths on the plants, along with milkweed aphids (yellowish orange) and a smattering of the red milkweed beetle. I've tried to find out what to do with them, but the only info was to leave them be. I live in Ontario, Canada

My children and I were out looking for Monarch caterpillars today and came across these. There were many plants with several of them on one leaf. We found about ten of these compared to one Monarch caterpillar. I have been collecting Monarchs for about 25 years (since I was a kid) and have never seen these before. I looked up caterpillars on the internet to find out what they were and am just starting to learn about them.

We found about 100 of these on a milkweed plant today (8-14-07) in Assonet, MA, which is in southeastern part of Massachusetts, they were devouring the plant. Had never seen them before and found no references in Audubon Guide to New England. Are they new to the area ?

We have a growing commune of Milkweed tussock Moths on our exotic milkweed plant for the first time. The plant itslef is about 2 years old and did not have these insects last year. We have found lots of photos but minimal information on the hazards associated with this insect if any. We're interested in others experiences with this moth and what they have done when faced with a rapidly expanding and very hungry group of these unique moths.
