Father and Son Checking out the Waves

On a recent day trip up the coast,
we seemed to bump into this father
and son making the most of the school
holidays to spend some time together.
Here they are checking out the waves at
Birdie Beach ih the Munmorrah State Recreation Park

This beach is very long (nudist area at northern end) but I think they were looking at the surf which was rather rough that day.

A fine shot with the lead-in poles, Elaine.
The sand with tufts of grass reminds me of what we
used to call BIRD ISLAND, a breeding area for water birds.
Sadly Bird lsland was washed away 2 years ago
and has never re-appeared :(
