This trunk, manufactured ca. 1940, was (unfortunately) not owned by Emilia Earhart. It is from a line of 'Amelia Earhart' signature luggage, marketed as the Modernaire Earhart Luggage line. This slightly tattered unit was auctioned off along with other aviation goodies.
