Two Cliff Swallow nests in different stages of contruction. Nests begin as a mud ledge, and are built into an enclosed gourd-shaped structure with a small entrance hole. The new Ecocenter of the Environmental Volunteers at Palo Alto Baylands began attracting nesting swallows during its first Spring in 2012.
