NGC 6611 or M 16, the Eagle Nebula.

Cootamundra, NSW

NGC 6611 or M 16 is a large fairly bright Open Cluster immersed in a nebulous haze in the constellation of Serpens. This object is some 9.00 x 4.00 arc minutes in size and shines at a magnitude of 6.00, Also known as IC 4703, Sh 2-49 and Gum 83.

Taken in the light of Ha using a Takahashi FSQ-106 at f/5.0.
