This Luminance only photograph is centered on the Spiral Galaxy, NGC 5078 in the constellation of Hydra, this galaxy shines at a magnitude of 12.00(B) and is some 3.2 by 1.0 arc minutes in size.
Also visible in the photograph is NGC 5101 directly below the main subject, this galaxy is a Barred Spiral, magnitude 11.60(B), upper left is NGC 5061, an Elliptical Galaxy shining at magnitude 11.20(B), IC 879, a Barred Galaxy, is located directly above NGC 5078, numerous other Galaxies including IC 874, ESO 508 39, MCG-4-31-51, ESO 508-56, LEDA 761125 and others are located thoughout the image.
