NGC 6188

Cootamundra, NSW.

NGC 6188 or Ced 136b is in a region of the Milky Way that is obscured by dark diffuse nebula and faintly luminous nebulous material and the area is scattered with rather faint stars. The straggling Open Cluster, NGC 6193 is involved with the nebula. The nebula is some 20 arc minutes in size and is very faint, located in the constellation of Ara.

Takahashi Sky 90 operating at f/4.5 and taken using a 6Nm, Ha filter.
