M 6 is a bright Open Cluster in the constellation of Scorpius. It is also known as the Butterfly Cluster, NGC 6405, Collinder 341, Melotte 178, Raab 112 and OCL 1030. This cluster shines at a magnitude of 4.60 and is around 20 arc minutes in size and lies at a distance of around 1600 Light Years.
