Trip to Sorrento, Italy - July 15-22, 2008

We spent a week in Sorrento, with visits to Capri, Napoli, Pompei and Herculaneum, and the Amalfi coast towns of Positano, and Amalfi. On the drive back to Roma we stopped at Montecassino, the site of a fierce WWII battle where we visited the Polish cemetery. We also made a "pilgrimage" to Arpino, the home of the great orator, Cicero (Cicerone in Italian).

Thanks for sharing! Brings back memories of 1976 when Martha and I visited Sorrento and sailed into the Blue Grotto.
