My first astroimaging competition and first win since my return to the hobby of astronomy in 2002!
I took my imaging outfit to the South Pacific Star Party for the first time and took a few
short exposures of a few things. I entered this image of M104 after quickly processing it
the morning of the competition following an all nighter. I was thrilled to have it chosen
as the winner of the "comercial CCD" category.
