I combined 3 shots using photomatix, which changes the exif data - the actual date of the picture was the 17th, the shutter speeds were 1/500, 1/800, 1/320.

Katherine, this is absolutely stunning - the colors all mingle together to produce a beautiful, breathtaking photo. Sounds like you put a lot of effort in the final processing. I really like this a lot.
