I know of one pbase member who absolutely hated this when I posted it a few years ago. I think she started hating me, too. :)

Thank you, bottles and Denise. There is beauty to be found in some unlikely subjects, and who says it always has to be "pretty"? BTW, the last time I checked, I was disappointed. The roofs(?) over the garage door and porch are gone. Looks like it lost some of its interesting character. :(

Thomas, what an incredible image!! I love the color of the building with the blue sky. This building is great. Going every which way ;-)) You also did an excellent job with the snow. I am impressed.

Tom, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Everything is beautiful, in it's own way! And besides, photos are about more than just looks. What do we "feel" when we view them? Things that are old are powerful conveyers, that's one reason I like them. This is an interesting shot of an old building that, to me, seems to convey a feeling of cold and loneliness. I also like the lighting that results in shadows being cast from the tree, porch roof and banister. It's a great shot, and perfect for this challenge!
