Count me in on the lineup of wannabes. I would love to have a shot like this and the "company" of the critters (gosh, they're cute). All things considered, those future possum boxes sound like a good thing to think about. --Nancy

To Fremiet: "Proud"? It sounds like we share some views on critters like these. They're remarkably unruffled and trusting, and are a fixture here during the day time. They've become quite accustomed to me "looking in" on them, and just peer at me for a moment and then go back to sleep. Having that trust amply makes up for the work ahead in fixing the wall. We've had them running around in the roof for a while, and there's been some occasional scratching noise, but I only discovered it had got to this last week. Seems the parent wasn't comfortable with the support width of a noggin, and decided to make a bit more room! Time to start making some possum boxes for the trees, and do something about excluding them, though. The youngster will be big enough to fend for itself soon. -- Mike
