Clarity in the mud by CindyD*

Grabbed this shot on our walk tonight in a muddy construction area.
Cropped and downsized but otherwise untouched in PS.
At first I couldn't figure out why the mud was sooo far out of the DOF,
then I remembered that when photographing a reflection the
focus distance is the reflected distance, not the reflection surface . . .
So the mud was indeed a long way out of the DOF.
I thought it was kind of a cool effect. Thoughts?

LOvely shot. I have been trying to locate a EF 85f18 photo for my site, can I use this ? Credit and link provided.

the section is an extension of the Canon EOS-1N site that is almost finishing.

Interesting shot, was photoshop used to distort the image, or was it an effect of DOF like you pointed out?
