And I guess it worked, too! It was on my letterbox all afternoon, which is right at a school bus stop.
The kids alighting would surely have either flattened or souvenired it had they spotted it ;-)

This one was about 45 mm across the wings, Dave. Looper - Pingasa chlora - as far as I can determine from the wall full of books my other half has on flora and fauna ;-)

And Mike C - you wanna try finding one on tree bark! There's a lot of spectacle to be found in subtlety, all right. -- Mike
