Very nice use of light. The kitty's eyes reflect the light so nicely and his whiskers are perfectly illuminated. Lisafx

Allen - wow,I'm flattered that you want to use it as desktop wallpaper - it is all natural light from a window. He's not my cat, he's the cat of a friend of a friend of mine - but I don't think that matters.
Allen 11-Jul-2003 17:45
Oops! I meant to say I hope you DON'T mind! :)
Allen 11-Jul-2003 17:44
Kathrine,

I hope you mind, but I'm using your beautiful shot as my desktop wallpaper at work. I love everything about the shot. One question, is that all natural light? Good work.

I tried cropping as MFC suggensted, and it does look better -someday I'll learn to see these things before they're pointed out to me.

Bev - I'm not that Katherine Kenison.

Beautifully captured. I especially like the light hitting the whiskers. Helen

Lovely natural lighting. I particularly like the clarity of white whiskers and sparkle in the eyes. Michael Puff

I love the way the light is capturing this great looking cat. And I was also going to mention the matching markings on the fur and floor-- very neat. Melanie (mlynn)

Katherine, great capture! What is it about those orange cats?!?! I really like the way the light hits the muzzle and whiskers. Makes them really pop out at you.---Deb

Katherine, I like the way the light shines on his face and brings out the strips in his fur to match the floor. Great photo.

Katherine, your beautiful kitty is perfectly posed on the matching wood floor. Did you bribe her? Nice lighting; great whiskers. Bev

This is off-topic; but I subbed at our local library yesterday and a poster crossed my desk for a mystery-writers workshop. The contact person is Katherine Kenison, Ball State, Muncie, IN. Is that you? -bev

Katherine, I like the multiple effects of natural light here...floor, whiskers, eyes, and face. Good composition and mood here too. Nice clarity and DOF. (*) I'd probably be inclined to crop a little off the right side, closer toward the ear...looks even better to my eyes when I do that. MFC
