Strange Plant*
by Ann Chaikin

Bellingham

A man gave us the bulb for this at the Bellingham Farmer's Market two summers ago. We planted it and this is the result. The flower is about a foot long and four inches wide. He told us the name but we forgot it.

Ditto what everone else says. It's also the crop that makes this a wonderful image. JoeSchmoe

Beautiful plumb tones and great DOF - I guess that's what f22 gives you.

Very nice Ann, you really captured the detail and texture of the plant. Lovely depth of field too. Melanie (mlynn)

Really beautiful abstract Ann. Kind of a photographic version of a Georgia O'Keefe
:-D. I love the composition. The subtle frame really adds to the overall effect too. Lisafx
