Nicely done. I love the contrast against the sky, and the photo could'nt have been better if the flower were in full bloom. Kudos on the wonderful shot!

This is the first time I've ever entered a photography contest, much less won one--it was a big surprise! Thank you very much for your votes. I think everyone submitted such great photos. If you noticed, my other three were down near the bottom *grin*...no great surprise, since I've only been taking photos for a little over a year. I have actually never seen a sunflower at this stage of it's life and, I find this very beautiful and intricate to look at. You exhibit great DOF in this image, just wish the sky brightness were taken down a few levels. Excellent work. Mark J
