Color would not have had the impact this image does in B&W - good use of the theme Nee. Powerful, emotive portrait. The half eye does distract me a little but not sure that the image wouldn't have lost power with either a whole eye or no eye! CindyD

Hi Nee! How great to see you here! And way to grab the theme and push it! I like this one better than the other, it's much m ore dramatic and artistic. Our last Mpls Photo Society competition was "Eyes" and the judge really didn't care much for "half eyes". He either liked all the eyes showing or none. I can see where he's coming from here, but in a way this also works because it's so not the subject (the right eye). I'm led to the eye on the left and then follow the dark shadow down to his mouth and beard, so the other eye really isn't all that important. Nice job! jim/shutter
