Three Trees
by Carlos Chacon

I tried this to look as one of those ‘hard paper’ prints that bring out all of the contrast regardless of other elements of the shot. I hope the effort is reasonably good :)

Hi Poss. Thank you for your nice and sincere comments. I guess that my rough technique came with some nice result after all, and I personally like it very much and enjoyed a lot taking it (I drove like 200 miles to get to this place to start with!). Best Regards!

This entry has everything that a normal "competition" photo should NOT have : noise (lots of it), oddly cropped composition, questionable focus and obvious over sharpening. I LOVE IT.
There is nerve, tension and drama. Has anyone looked at those trees? Their succession could mean anything from the cycle of life to the three acts of a classical greek tragedy. (name your pick)
Carlos, you took all the good traditional techniques, mixed them thoroughly then kick them right out of the window. Great courage and great results.
