All That Glitters... Is Gold

OK, call me fickle, but I decided to "go for the gold" as Ulysses put it. Detail of an Ottoman wedding dress from Istanbul, 150-200 years old, embroidered in gold. This is what it looks like in (setting) sunlight, as opposed to artificial light at night.

This shows it off nicely, Helen. I still have a leaning towards the first, more subdued pair, but this one does convey the age-old quality that the subject deserves. Mike
