Unless I'm mistaken... if you shine light in through the SIDE of the tank on both sides, you might achieve your goal without creating the light reflection off the front of the glass you are trying to avoid. By side I MEAN the actual side of the tank, not the side of the front of the tank. Try it and let me know how it comes out? You might want to experiment with the angle in which the lights enter the side of the tank also. Good luck.

Yes... it was shot with just available light. I had to hand-hold a 1 second exposure. Does anyone know how to get light into an aquarium with making it bounce off the glass?
