Stuart's wangled us an invitation to watch this race from atop the trailer in Rare Bear's pit. From takeoff to touchdown, the racers will be in the air barely 20 minutes, and on course for only six or eight minutes of that time. Away to the west the T-33 turns on the smoke as the six racers form up on his right wing in line abreast. There's only one chance to get it right, since if Steve Hinton can't line them up for a good start on the first pass the planes won't have enough fuel to both restart the race and complete the course.
