Steve is up early and takes a walk along the Animas River in the pre-dawn darkness; there are thunderstorms to the east and south, lit internally by lightning. Hmmm. We get a ride to the airfield by 8:00am hoping to beat the weather, but it's no good; we settle into the hurry-up-and-wait routine so familiar to small-plane pilots.
