the catch can...in place and plumbed in

Yes...the 'catch can' is a modified 140 coolant reservoir.

With some nylon barbed fittings, the dual hoses vent into the lower half of the 'can'. The single nylon fitting goes over to the intake pipe.

The dual hoses lets the crankcase vent as it needs to; the single hose to the intake lets the engine draw in what it wants to.

Between the dual fittings and the single fitting are some copper scouring pads...to act as coarse filters/precipitators...to do the final precipitating of oil droplets out of the blowby. Any oil can fall to the bottom of the 'can'; and be drained out the bottom.
