10-JUN-2007 Terri Steele

June 10

I had just discovered that an old lens doubler I had given up for dead
actually was functional with my 70-200 lens. I loaded up the camera
with the lens and went outside to look for a bird of some-sort, and
there was not a chickadee, robin, sparrow, or blue jay to be found.
I was just about to give up when I was buzzed overhead by this large
Dragonfly.

Handheld... the 200mm with the 2x is a bit much... as this image is
not razor sharp, but I was pretty excited to see how close I could
get with this combo... Now I just need to remember to bring out
the tripod too next time ;)

Not sharp? As far as I can see it is sharp where it has to be. Fantastic picture of a beautiful insect!

I dont know looks pretty darn sharp to me. Great work.I love the shrub also. We have a lot of those (whatever you call them) turn almost black then the pink tassels. Colors in this shot are very complimentary. Great work Terri
