OK, let's get this out of the way right away. I am a MacHead. I am a member of the Apple cult.
My first computer was an Apple IIci way back in 1988 and I have had a succession of Macs
since then. I never owned a PC until recently when my brother gave me his hand-me-down
Compaq so I could use it to look at web pages I build to make sure they display properly in
the Windows environment. It has been sitting stacked in a corner ever since. Anyhow,
one of my favorite toys from Apple is the iPod. I bought mine about a year and a half ago and it has been
a great companion. It has proven to be pretty sturdy, witness that I ran it over with the rear tire of my lawn
tractor the first month I had it when it came unclipped from my belt (talk about a major heart attack. I figured
it would be smashed, but it was just fine. The only thing that happened was the belt clip got broken off the
leather carrying case). Anyhow that's my long iPod story and I'm sticking to it.
